IntraHealth International, Inc. is currently accepting applications for several keypositions on the Tanzania Human Resource Capacity Project.
The goal of theTanzania Human Resource Capacity Project is to strengthen capacity in both the public and private sectors to help build and maintain an effective work force and human resource management information system for Tanzania's health and socialwelfare services.
Chief of Party
The Chief of Party is accountable for orchestrating all program activities andachieving all program results.
Successful candidates should have demonstratedcapabilities and high-level expertise in HR management and systems within thehealth and social welfare sector, with at least eight years of professionalexperience managing health programs in developing countries in complex culturalsettings, in progressive leadership positions.
The COP must have strong skills and a track record in strategic visioning,leadership, networking, and problem solving as well as effective skills forinteracting with senior-level policy makers.
Applicants should also have experienceworking with USAID directly or as an implementing partner, and should have strongfamiliarity with PEPFAR and other USG initiatives, as well as considerableexperience working with the host government.
An advanced degree in PublicHealth, Social Sciences or a related discipline is highly desired. Excellent writtenand oral communication skills are critical.
District Strengthening Specialist
The District Strengthening Specialist is accountable for orchestrating DistrictStrengthening related program activities and achieving related program results.
The Specialist must have basic knowledge of management and leadership capacitybuilding, as well as how local government functions in Tanzania and how it relatesto the national policies and systems.
Familiarity with the HR management capacityand systems in Tanzania to support planning, recruiting, and retaining the healthand social welfare workforce is ideal.
S/he must also have some technical skills and experience in leading districtstrengthening interventions.
S/he must have good communication, persuasion andnegotiation skills as well as exceptional written skills in English and Swahili.
Human Resources Management Information Specialist
The HRMIS Specialist is accountable for orchestrating HRMIS related programactivities and achieving all HRMIS related program results.
The candidate for theHRMIS Specialist position must have technical skills and experience in HRManagement Information Systems, especially in a developing country.
The applicant must demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skillsin English, and be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with otherdonors who are involved in the specified objectives.
A Bachelor's degree inComputer Science or Information Technology, software engineering, or a relatedfield is strongly preferred.
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist is accountable for orchestratingM&E related program activities and achieving all M&E related program results.
Successful candidates for the M&E position will likely have a master's degree inPublic Health, Epidemiology, Demographics or a related field and will have aminimum of three years of experience in monitoring, designing, and implementingprograms in health, HIV/AIDS, or human resource management.
Proficiency instatistical databases is required (e.g. SPSS, EPI-lnfo) as well as strong skills inExcel, Word, and Power Point.
Experience with PEPFAR reporting is a plus.
The candidate for the M&E Specialist position should have excellent written andoral communication skills in English and Swahili, and must be able to communicateand coordinate effectively with other donors and project partners.
