Regional Microfinance Advisor
Plan's Regional Office of East and Southern Africa requires a Regional Advisor onMicrofinance, who will be based in the successful applicant's home country onlocal terms & conditions.

Key responsibilities include:
- Technical support in implementation and scaling up of the Regional Microfinance Strategy and in the identification, design and application ofinnovative microfinance programs in all countries of the region.
- Integrating microfinance initiatives as components of strategic plans withother relevant disciplines.
- Development of a set of metrics to determine the effectiveness ofMicrofinance strategy and management of central information system for allmicrofinance programs deliverables and impacts.
- A functioning program model that addresses the financial services andbusiness development needs of working youth developed and implemented.
- Knowledge management of MF.
- Networking with appropriate organizations in Microfinance.
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree (preferably Post-graduate) in the field of Economics,Finance,
- Business Administration or a related field or equivalent practicaldevelopment experience.
- Experience in strategic planning and participatory methodologies.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the design and implementation &management of sustainable financial services (Microfinance) projects atsimilar level.
- Good understanding of rights-based programming and advocacy work
- Experience and effective in working in partnerships with organizations inmicrofinance
- Experience in community based microfinance initiatives and working withwomen and youth groups is advantageous
- Extensive travel in the Region will be required.
