Executive Chef
Job description
The successful candidate must be self-motivated and hands-on with relevant qualifications. We are seeking a very creative chef who is familiar with the current trends at the top end of the food service industry. Additionally, the following is necessary:
* Creative menu planning
* Stock control
* Food costing
* Staff management
* Excellent presentation
* Creativity and passion for food
* Cost effectiveness without marginalising quality and standards
* HCCAP knowledge
* Ability to train and motivate
* Ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations
* Excellent customer contact skills
* Able to lead and embrace teamwork
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar capacity
* Single / travel alone
This is a live-in position and applicants must be comfortable with working in a remote environment, sometimes under pressure. The hotel's kitchen has a local staff of approximately 20 chefs, cooks & cleaners.
Salary range: USD2,000 - USD2,500 nett per month, full board & lodgings, return air-tickets, pension/medical contributions and other perks.
