IMA World Health is a nonprofit organization providing health care services and supplies to vulnerable and marginalized people. We are a faith-based organization (FBO) working primarily in the developing world, where an estimated 30 to 60 percent of health care is provided by FBOs.

Job Summary: Responsible for organizing and coordinating the technical, administrative, logistical and managerial support for project implementation and program development in DR Congo. This position will serve as a primary resource between the field offices and headquarters, and will be expected to communicate with donors, partners, sub-contractors and consultants as needed. The responsibilities include monitoring the progress of current projects, providing assistance with future development, identifying opportunities, participating with preparation and management of budgets, and preparing proposals and assessments. This position provides technical support to and back stops IMA World Health’s programming efforts in: (specific assigned programs – specialized to each program officer).
Essential Functions:
1. Monitor progress of project objectives and maintain regular contact with staff/consultants by email and phone. Address current issues by visiting each field office. Inform VP of International programs of progress, issues challenges and concerns.
2. Ensure adequate reporting to donors including: Keeping HQ and field staff informed of new information from donors relating to grant responsibilities and collecting information and preparing work plan.
3. Manage grant funds and sub-agreements by Preparing annual budgets in consultation with field project directors, Ensuring regular financial reporting, Monitoring project expenditures and advising the VP of International Programs and Senior Financial Analyst of significant variances, and Developing budgets for proposed programs.
4. Engage in representation, networking and cultivation of relationships with partners, technical donors and other organizations implementing programs; and preparing proposals for future projects.
5. Establish leadership and personal credibility while implementing and maintaining a clearly defined and understood chain of authority and accountability.
6. Represent IMA World Health at professional conferences; enable publishing and presentation of accomplishments in professional fora.
7. Organize program-related workshops, meetings and/or events.
8. Participate in development and/or review of training materials.
9. Responsible for report preparation for Project/Program reporting and technical briefs for internal and external communications.
10. Humanize the program by lifting up the impact on individual lives through stories and photographs from the field.
11. Responsible for documenting lessons learned and innovations of the project.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required):
1. Master’s Level Degree in health or related field; MPH preferred.
2. Minimum of three years experience working in international public health.
3. Strong English and French writing skills and analytical abilities.
4. Cross-cultural sensitivity a must.
5. Experience working with professional and support staff in a multicultural, multi-linguistic environment.
6. Experience in working with government and NGO/FBO/CBO sectors.
7. Ability to travel as needed and necessary.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Internet fluency a plus.
9. Willingness to support IMA World Health’s Mission.
