The combined Burundi/Rwanda Country Program seeks a Grants Coordinator to manage its 24 active grants, from 17 donors, for Governance, Gender Based Violence, Child and Youth Protection and Development and Health and Environmental health as well as pursue new funding opportunities. The Grants Coordinator will assist in the development of all proposals, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and contribute to program design and monitoring & evaluation initiatives. S/he will dedicate up to 50% of his/her time to developing and supporting new initiatives in Rwanda.
Responsibilities
- Work with sector coordinators/managers, coordinate the development of new projects and funding proposals
- Ensure that grants are implemented in compliance with the relevant donor regulations
- Organize monthly budget meetings with sector managers/coordinators to ensure strong financial management
- Assist with program monitoring and evaluation and with sharing achievements and lessons learned
- Develop a communication and visibility strategy and support preparation of materials such as brochures and newsletters
Requirements
- Degree / Master’s in international affairs or related subject
- At least three years experience working in relief or development programs
- Previous successful experience developing projects and writing proposals for public donors
- Excellent English written and verbal communications skills and proficiency in French; Fluency in French would be a distinct advantage
