Chemonics International Job Vacancies: Regional Forecasters (20 Positions)
Kenya Pharma, a USAID-funded project implemented by Chemonics International, seeks experienced professionals to apply for the following positions.
Regional Forecasters (20 Positions)The regional forecaster serves as the first point of contact with service delivery points in the assigned region and will be responsible for ensuring that assigned SDPs are well supported and stocked to meet Kenya Pharma’s main objective: the uninterrupted supply of ART commodities.
The regional forecaster will be based in the field and will report to the regional manager in charge of the assigned region.
More specifically, the position holder will:
Carry out physical stock inventory, inspect bin card records for accuracy, compare physical inventory and bin card records, and recommend appropriate action.
Collect information on ART patients per regimen and report data on stock position, patients per regimen, treatment targets, and future medicine requirements using the prescribed format.
Support SDP to forecast and quantify their drug needs, including buffer stock per Kenya Pharma’s policy.
Collect and analyze stock versus patient per regimen data accurately.
Submit all reports and orders by agreed deadline.
Carry out stock rotation within SDPs in assigned region, collaborating with manager to avoid expiries and overstocking.
Monitor storage conditions and capacity of assigned SDPs to handle increased workload. Raise storage capacity concerns and quality issues with regional managers.
Submit monthly operations report to regional manager, highlighting key issues requiring immediate follow up and any feedback from SDPs that may help to improve service delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree
0-2 years of experience working handling pharmaceutical products in Kenya
Good understanding of health systems and government health facilities in Kenya.
Solid working knowledge of ART in Kenya; experience in managing ART commodities logistics an added advantage.
Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate a team to attain objectives.
Excellent written, oral communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
