The Regional Office for East and Southern Africa is based in Addis Ababa, with 2 other locations in Nairobi and Pretoria.

It covers and coordinates programmes in East and Southern Africa since its inception in 2005. Key programme areas include, but are not limited to; livelihoods, nutrition , Education, HIV and AIDs ,child protection.

Its intention is to focus increased efforts with a view of making positive and significant change for the children in East and Southern Africa.

The Regional Multi Country Education Advisor is a member of the regional management team for East and Southern Africa.

The post holder will be expected to support country programmes to deliver high quality education programming through support in recruitment, capacity-building, technical assistance, knowledge management and networking.

The role will focus on providing support to Southern Sudan, Somalia and DRC.

All of these countries are part of the Save the Children Rewrite the Future global campaign that works to ensure children in countries affected by conflict have access to a good quality education in a protective environment.
