Job Vacancies: Marie Stopes Marie Stopes Kenya is a Local Non-Governmental Organization affiliated to Marie Slopes International.

Marie Stopes Kenya has provided affordable high quality innovative reproductive and sexual health care services to her clientele since 1986 through its nationwide network of static in reach centers and mobile outreach centers thereby enhancing accessibility of SRH services to the hard to reach rural citizenry of the republic of Kenya.

Marie Stopes Kenya is expanding its current outreach Choice programme of providing permanent and long term family planning services to rural communities in various parts of the republic of Kenya.

Marie Stopes, therefore, urgently invites young dynamic medical officers with a desire to serve the underserved, to fill seven positions in various parts of the republic of Kenya.

Key Qualifications:

The applicant to be a holder of MBCHB or equivalent from a recognized institutionPreferably the applicant to be below 35yrs of ageMust be registered with Kenya Medical BoardGood surgical skills is highly desirable

Experience not an absolute necessity as successful applicants shall undergo intensive orientation and a two weeks training in the field of Long Term and Permanent Family planning methods.

Post interns from high surgical volume hospitals do well in our outreach programme

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide permanent and long term family planning services in an outreach setting
• Offer technical leadership to team members
• Report to National Outreach Manager
• Timely compilation and submission of reports to Support Office
• Carry out mobilization for family planning clients in liaison with Community Based Distributors
• Any other duties as may be required by the employer

Terms of Employment

This is a permanent contract.
