Director: Administration Training

Total salary package: R652 572 per annum. This all-inclusive remuneration package consists of a basic salary, the State’s contribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund and a flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the applicable rules. The successful candidates will be required to sign performance contracts and obtain a security clearance on the required level

Requirements:

* Applicants must be in possession of a recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
* Experience in the administration requirements of a South African diplomatic mission abroad (Foreign Service experience)
* Extensive experience in public administration and the implementation of the PFMA
* A broad understanding of the National Qualifications Framework
* Knowledge of and experience in the training and skills development environment, as well as Outcomes-based Education, will be an added advantage
* A valid Code 08 driver’s licence.

Duties:Interpret and understand the mandate, vision, mission and policy directives of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation and translate these into training strategies for the Directorate: Administration Training

* Provide strategic leadership in the overall management of the Directorate: Administration Training
* Participate in departmental and branch policy and strategy formulation processes
* Implement strategies to ensure compliance to statutory obligations and legislation affecting training delivery in the Directorate: Administration Training
* Provide strategies to set and maintain standards for service delivery, to both internal and external customers
* Provide strategies to set and maintain standards for quality assurance in the training and outcomes-based assessment processes
* Partner with line managers and build relations with stakeholders in the training and development environment
* Advise on compliance with legislative requirements and related directives
* Ensure that the Department’s principals receive timely and accurate information on training interventions
* Provide advice and support on the functional responsibility (training and development issues)
* Implement and control systems to develop and maintain a credible assessment process
* Ensure effective and efficient people and financial management
* Facilitate an environment that is conducive to learning and provide leadership to ensure course participants develop the behavioural attributes required to become successful Corporate Services Managers
* Develop and implement plans and programmes to deliver financial management training
* Ensure that internal operational systems are designed and improved on a continuous basis.
