Eligibility
These 15 scholarships are open to applicants who have an excellent academic record and who are citizens or residents (for a minimum of three years) of India or any European, North America or African country and who are applying for admission onto an MSc programme in the Business School.
Although applications for the scholarship should be made before 31 May 2010, the scholarship will only be awarded to an applicant who has been made an offer of a place (conditional or unconditional) . Applicants who hold full sponsorships are not eligible for the scholarship.
If an applicant is successful in being awarded the scholarship, but subsequently declines their offer of admission on the MSc programme, the award of the scholarship will be withdrawn and awarded to another applicant.
How to Apply Applicants should submit a 500 word essay, explaining why they feel they should be awarded the scholarship, and how the scholarship will benefit them. This essay should accompany their application for the MSc programme.
If you have already submitted your application, you are welcome to apply separately for a scholarship. Please email your application with the title ‘Business School MSc Scholarships’ in the subject matter to msc@business- school.ed. ac.uk - Please ensure your full name, UUN, details of the programme you applied for and contact details as stated in your application match those on your scholarship submission.
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and the benefits to the student. The decision will be made by the School selection committee. The winners of the scholarships will be contacted by 30 June 2010.

Conditions of Award The scholarships will only be awarded to applicants who have firmly accepted their offer through payment of the deposit.
An award will be withdrawn if a student fails to meet the conditions of their offer
