International Organizational Capacity Building Advisor

Location: United Republic of Tanzania - Dar Es Salam

Job tasks include:
- Strengthen organizational capacity, democratic governance and accountability of MS Tanzania partner organizations
- Develop and promote a practical set of minimum standards & principles for good practice organization to be followed by MS Tanzania partner organizations

Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years relevant post graduate work experience, where working experience from Africa, preferable Tanzania will be an advantage
- Strong analytical and planning skills, including practical experience with development of strategic plans and the logical framework approach
- Good understanding of organization development as a tool for social change
- Experience from working as professional or holder of elected position in membership-based organizations with both elected governing structures and professional secretariat
- Solid practical experience with organizational development processes including development of constitutions, governing structures, etc.
- Good understanding of financial side of OCB
- Experience with the advisory role
- Ability to work fast and finish processes/achieve planned results, including linking and facilitating process to tangible results
- Motivated and driven by a strong sense of solidarity and commitment to democracy and poverty reduction- Diplomatic and culturally sensitive
- Independent and willingness to travel alone in remote areas
