The Open University of Tanzania is a public institution of higher learning thatwas granted a Charter (2007) in line with the provisions of the Universities ActNo. 7 of 2005.
The University offers certificates, diplomas, undergraduate andpostgraduate degrees programmes through open and distance learning modes,which include broadcasting, telecasting, information and communicationtechnologies (ICT), correspondence, enhanced face to face seminars, contactprogrammes or the combination of any two or more of such means.

The Open University of Tanzania invites applications from suitably qualified,experienced, dynamic and motivated Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies.
1.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANTS II ( 20 POSTS)
(a) QualificationPossession of Advanced Secondary Certificate plus a certificate inRecords management from recognized institutions
(b) Duties
Responsible for duties in a registry such as registration ofmail, filing, housing files, maintaining a diary and recordingfiles.
Ensures correct distribution of files to scheduled officers foraction.
· Maintains a daily record of files to scheduled officers for action.
· Sorts, addresses and dispatches letters / documents
· Assists in carrying out social and physical surveys / tabulateddata including the operation of duplicating machines,reproducing, collecting and stapling materials of variousnature.

2.0 DRIVERS II ( 3 POSTS)
(a) Qualification:
Possession of form IV Secondary Education Certificate with passesin Kiswahili and English. MUST have a valid class C DrivingLicence and working experience of at least three (3) years.
Possession of Trade Test Grade II Drivers II Certificate fromrecognized institutions such as NIT or VETA(b)
Duties:
· Drives institutional vehicles
· Maintains logbooks
· Responsible for safe-keeping of the vehicle and tools entrustedto him / her.
· Maintains disciplined behaviour and proper conduct inrendering services to his/her assignees.
· Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle and tools.
· Reports promptly any defect or problems detected in thevehicle.
· Performs messengerial duties such as dispatchingdocuments/letters, collecting mail, photocopying of documentsand any other duties as may be assigned by one’s reportingofficer.
3.0: SECURITY GUARD (20 POSTS)
(a) Qualification
National Form IV certificate with passes in English, Kiwashili andMathematics, plus National Services Training and /or Peoples MilitiaTraining Phase and /or other form of military training.
The Candidate mustbe vetted
(b) Duties.
· Assist in daily routine beats around the University centre so as tomaintain peace and order.
· To guard the property of the University.
· Performs any other duties as may be assigned by superiors.
RENUMERATION
Attractive packages will be offered to the right candidates commensurate withqualifications and experience and in accordance to Government Circulars anddirectives.
