DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR (ACADEMICS)

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED TANZANIANS TOFILL THE POST OF THE DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR (ACADEMICS) OF THEOPEN UNIVERSITY OF TANZANIA

Qualifications and experiences:This is a Senior Administrative position at the University. The applicant must thereforebe mature and NOT less than 40 and not more than 55 years of age.

The applicantmust be a holder of PhD and a Professor or Associate Professor in his field from arecognized University with not less than five years of proven academic experience,preferably in an Institution of Higher Learning.

Duties:

Chief advisor to the Vice Chancellor in respect of academic matters of theUniversity both undergraduate and post – graduate.

Responsible in matters relating to teaching, research and consultancy servicesof the University.

Deputizing the position of Vice Chancellor in his absence

Have such other function as are conferred upon him/her by the University’sCEO

Salary:

The salary will be attractive and in keeping with the current prevailing Circular but notless than PUTS 20 - 21
