Position: North sudan: Sector Advisor - Health Promotion & Child Protection
To start August for 12 months Are you a manager with a community health background, with proven experience and competence in project implementation and strategic planning?
We are currently seeking someone to work as part of the senior management team to provide technical advice for the design, implementation and management of the health promotion work including child protection issues across Tearfund’s North Sudan (Darfur) Disaster Management programme.

The role also carries the responsibility of managing the Disaster Management Team’s advocacy activities relating to health promotion within the NGO community and government departments in Darfur.

The role is based in N’yala, Darfur requiring frequent travel to field sites.

The successful applicant must have a degree or equivalent in a related sector, be a credible advisor with proven leadership, negotiation and representation skills, and have relevant overseas experience.

Sensitivity to cross cultural issues, the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, experience with children and the ability to deliver training are essential.

All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues.
