POST: CULTURAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
(DUTY STATION: ARUSHA)

1.0 Duties and Responsibility

• Reports to the cultural tourism Development Program Coordinator;
• To assist in advising cultural tourism enterprises on product enhancement and new activities that could be developed or improved;
• To assist on providing information to various stakeholders on developments of cultural tourisms in Tanzania;
• To liaise with cultural tourism enterprises on new information for the development and updating of cultural tourism promotional materials and assist in coordination of product materials;
• To assist on coordination on the production of promotional materials for the Cultural Tourism Program;
• To assist in monitoring the performance of cultural tourism enterprises for appropriate advice and guidance;
• To assist in building the capacity of the local communities and their organizations through giving specific training and advice on how to develop a sustainable tourism enterprises;
• To perform any other duties as shall be assigned from time to time by Cultural Tourism Coordinator;
• To perform any other duties as shall be assigned by the CTDPC.
  
  Qualifications
  At least a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science with hands – on experience of not less than 5 years in tourism related activities. Skills and wide knowledge in working with computer is essential.
